Most organizations already offer mental health and wellbeing support. Employee Assistance Programs, therapy benefits, crisis lines, and wellness platforms are widely available.

But availability doesn’t guarantee access.

In the last episode, we explored the Clarity Gap, the disconnect between the support that exists and what people can actually access under stress. In this episode, we take that one step further.

As organizations turn to AI to help close that gap, an important truth needs to be clear:

AI will not fix workplace mental health. But with the right governance, it can improve access to support.

We explore:

  • Why workplace mental health support often goes underutilized
  • Where AI can help and where it introduces risk
  • Why most failures in this space are governance failures, not technical ones
  • What governance actually means in practice
  • The critical distinction between navigation and care
  • Where real ROI comes from in wellbeing investments

This episode is about designing systems that work for humans under pressure, not just on paper.
